

From the Balcony Chapter OneI sit on my balcony every evening in the summertime. Don\'t laugh, it\'s one of those silly, itty bitty ones that gets slapped on the sides of an apartment building and costs at least $50 extra in rent a month, and it\'s most definitely worth it. I get a nice breeze and the setting sun instead of the sunrise (which I would absolutely LOATHE, seeing as how I\'m not an early riser), and there\'s just enough room for my big lawnchair and a footstool, as well as a giant potted palm that gives me the illusion that I\'m someplace where it\'s as warm all the time as it is in the summer here.
